Spectacular luxury residence in the heart of Todi piazza- classed as one of the most beautiful in Italy and located in one of the most noblest palazzo's, with its stunning wide panoramic roof terrace, where you can enjoy the view of the beautiful countryside and its historic  piazza buildings in total privacy.  The perfect place to experience the best of both worlds - luxury in the heart of a famous roman-medieval hill town.  The apartment offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The entrance to the luxury apartment is via the great noble doors that sit on Todi's  Piazza del Popolo.  The residence is located on the third and fourth floor of the historical building 


 

Accommodation

Entrance and Dining 

The stunning long entrance hall will take your breath away with its vaulted ceilings and pillars. Before entering the hallway, there is a bathroom on the right with marble sink, bidet and toilet. To the right is the magnificent dining room with two large windows that look directly over Todi piazza and the daily life that goes on.  Beautiful stenciled and beamed ceilings add to its character with a large stone feature fireplace and parquet hardwood flooring.   There is a wonderful large dining table and chairs to seat 8 persons.  The whole residence has fine furniture and fittings which are pristine as new

Living Room

Access to the living room can be via the dining room through large double wood doors, or via the entrance hall.  The living room again has beautiful stenciled and beamed ceilings and windows that look out over the piazza.  There are two exquisite sofas, seating 6 persons and 2 other upholstered chairs.   The lovely antique wood fireplace has a flat screen tv above.

The Kitchen

The large kitchen has wonderful cathedral windows and a great antique wood fireplace.  Full of character with beautiful wood units and most modern kitchen accessories, double oven and 6 ring hob, dishwasher, large double door  American fridge, table for seating 8 persons.   All kitchen utensils and accessories are new. From the kitchen there is a staircase which leads directly to the large panoramic roof terrace - with outstanding views in total privacy and a beautiful way to while some hours dining alfresco, morning, noon and night, on the large feature table with 6 iron chairs.


Off the hallway is a small area with bureau and high leather backed chair and ideal as a working space/study area.

Bedrooms and Bathroom


There are two double bedrooms adjacent to the living room, one looks out onto the piazza and the other at the rear side of the property with exquisite period furniture.  A third double bedroom is accessed via the hallway through a wonderful stone medieval open arch doorway, again with period furniture.  A bathroom is adjacent with vaulted ceiling and large walk in marble shower and stunning marble  wash basin and surround with feature mirror, complete with toilet and bidet 

The Master Suite

 The master suite is accessed via a staircase and has  two beautiful arched windows that look onto the terrace.  Low slung heavy beams create a romantic atmosphere and 4 poster bed with fitted wardrobes, vanity upholstered chairs and table.  Here the beams have been painted white to give it an airy feel.  Up 2 steps to reach the ensuite bathroom with large hydromassage bath, toilet and double sink.  The whole ambiance of the master bedroom and bathroom is one of peace and tranquility. 


From here, is a large relaxing room serving the master bedroom, with beautiful sofa and tv.  Again, low slung heavy beams give so much character and an iron/glass door that leads directly onto the large panoramic terrace.



Todi


The Etruscan town of Todi is placed on top of a hill dominating the Tiber River and its valley and is a flourishing Umbrian centre where quality of life is considered as the best in the world and was given this prestigious title some years ago. Many classic Hollywood films have been rolled out in this famous Piazza. Todi is the home town of medieval Italian poet Jacopone. Todi boasts three beautiful churches, its Duomo in the piazza, Jacopone's church of San Fortunato the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria della Consolazzione. Todi's piazza is classed as one of the finest in Italy and boasts two palaces, one a museum exhibiting fine art and antiques. There are many fine bars and restaurants to choose from and the many craft shops will be a delight. Todi hosts a very busy events calendar and all through the summer months many varying events take place such as craft and prestigious antiques fair in April, Todi in Flower in May, Todi Tango Festival in June, international hot air baloon Grand Prix in July, alfresco concerts under the stars during August, Todi Arts Festival in September, live theatre and shows throughout the year. Take a walk around Todi and take in the medieval air and experience the magnificence of the architecture, the churches, the palaces and take in its ambiance.


UMBRIA

Umbria is an enchanting and mystical region which lies next to Tuscany and therefore in a most perfect location in central Italy. Known as the green heart of Italy, the region has a wonderful mixture of panorama,      rolling hills covered with vineyards, olive groves and fields of sunflowers, medieval hill towns dot the landscape,, mountains with pine forests and its lakes and waterfalls. Lake Trasimeno is no doubt a mystical lake, a favorite with Italians, where you can take a 15 minute boat ride to reach one of the Islands famous for lacemaking and lovely lakeside restaurants. World famous places such as Assisi, Orvieto, Perugia, Spoleto are just 40 minutes away from Todi. Also Deruta, home to the world famous Renaissance majolica-ceramics, only 20 minutes drive away. Umbrian olive oil is one of Italy's finest and its wines especially the renowned Orvieto Classico bianco, the wonderful Grechetto, a fantastic straw coloured wine and for a strong red, Montefalco Sagrantino will sure to impress the most discerning of wine buffs.   Umbria's cuisine, like Tuscany, is rustic and hearty, where in autumn months a plethora of tartufo/truffles, mushrooms, lentils are found widely available on riestaurant menus.
